One day in an art store in Louisville, KY, an airbrush kit was displayed so nicely in a glass case. Next to it were magazines showing amazing illustrations, custom paint jobs on cars, and even body paint done by airbrush artists. I wanted to be one of those artists! Somehow, while working as a bus-boy, I had saved up enough money. That airbrush kit went home with me. After some months of practice, I got a part-time job in a local airbrush shop, and soon went on to work full-time in another shop. It was a famous airbrush artist named Gerald Mendez who exposed me to digital art. I was inspired by his "digital airbrush" technique. We emailed about what type of tablet and computer to use, and he gave me lots of tips. It's something I'll always appreciate.
